GT-1000 CERTIFIED AUDITION
Direct audition verifies the connected hardware.
Shepherd automatically discovers the connected GT-1000 Device ID, requires a read-only response before sending, and verifies the certified patch afterward. Legacy and unverified rigs remain blocked.
Before connecting your GT-1000
- Connect the GT-1000 directly to your computer by USB.
- Completely quit BOSS Tone Studio. On Mac, use Command–Q. On Windows, confirm it is no longer running.
- Use the latest version of Chrome or Edge.
- Click CONNECT GT-1000 and allow MIDI/SysEx access.
- Confirm Shepherd displays the Device ID, MIDI input/output ports, and current patch name.
- Select a disposable patch before auditioning.
- Keep USB connected until both sending and verification finish.
- Trust the result only when Shepherd displays SENT ✓.
Certified auditions use temporary patch memory. Listen first, then save from the GT-1000 only if you want to keep the rig. Review-only and unverified rigs cannot be sent directly.
Having trouble?
- Quit BOSS Tone Studio completely, then reconnect.
- Do not select a port labeled DAW CTRL.
- Reload Shepherd after reconnecting the GT-1000.
- A factory reset is not required.
- When requesting support, include the complete warning message, device model, operating system, and browser.
